Apple to Resume Online Sales in Germany
February 6, 2012: Apple has been battling a legal war with the Motorola Mobility in Germany and the company was ordered by the court to stop selling as well as distributing mobile devices that violates some of the Motorola cellular communications patents. Thus, the company stopped selling its older models of iPhone and 3G based iPads, albeit these models continued to sell across Germany through Apple retail stores.
As per the recent reports, the court has suspended the injunction and so Apple is mulling over resuming with the sales of its iPhone and 3G based iPads. The confirmation of the receiving of clearance has been reported by the spokesperson of Apple. Alan Hely (Apple’s Spokesperson) said, “All iPad and iPhone models will be back on sale through Apple’s online store in Germany shortly.” However, not much of the specifications have been released over this.
Both the companies, Apple and Motorola Mobility have been fighting a legal war over a set of patents blaming each other for violation of the patents. If the sources are to be believed, Motorola Mobility stated that they have been “negotiating with Apple and offering the company “reasonable licensing terms and conditions since 2007.” However, Apple narrates altogether a different story.
