May 19, 2012: Facebook founder Mark Elliot Zuckerberg has finally updated his status to married on his Facebook profile. The CEO Zuckerberg and his long time girlfriend Priscilla Chan married at a small ceremony at Zuckerberg’s home in Palo Alto, California on Saturday.

The couple tied the knot after a busy week spent on street shows by Facebook founder. On Friday, Zuckerberg took one of the most anticipated moves in the history of Wall Street by taking his company public.

On Monday, Priscilla Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. Coincidently, Zuckerberg turned 28-year old on the same day. The couple met nine years ago at Harvard and have been together thereafter.

The wedding ceremony was conducted at the Zuckerberg’s home backyard and less than 100 guests blessed the couple at the ceremony for happy married life. It is to be noted that the guests thought the ceremony was to celebrate Chan’s graduation.

A Facebook spokesperson said that the wedding ring featuring a very simple ruby was designed by Zuckerberg himself. The 27-year old Priscilla Chan and Zuckerberg were looking stunning together during their wedding ceremony, the spokes person added.
