February 8, 2012: US research firm, Changewave conducted a survey over 200 tablet owners in America to reveal that the Amazon Kindle Fire owners are less satisfied with their devices compared to Apple’s iPad owners. According the survey report, 74% of the Apple’s iPad owners are very satisfied with their devices, while 54% of the owners of Amazon Kindle Fire are satisfied with the device.
The owners of Kindle Fire were satisfied with the price of the device, its colour screen and ease to use factor. However, the owners were disappointed by the absence of volume adjustor button, camera and a smaller screen size in comparison to iPad’s screen size. They were also not satisfied by the battery of the device as the battery life is too short and several apps that are available through the Amazon app store. Moreover, the position of the power (on/off) button on the Kindle Fire also disappointed its owners.
Thus, the Apple’s iPad dominates in the tablet market when compared to the Amazon Kindle Fire. Amazon needs to take these suggestions made in the survey report into consideration for future or while introducing enhanced version of Kindle Fire.
