March 22, 2012: The premium product Apple’s new iPad has received overwhelming response having surpassed the sales of 3 million units within a week after its launch. However, the customers have reported that the new iPad has the issue of overheating and some problem in its Wi-Fi.

The customers are complaining that the iPad becomes too hot making them uncomfortable to hold it, while some of the customers are experiencing some fault in the Wi-Fi connection of the iPad. According to the sources, the new iPad becomes hotter than the outgoing iPad and also reaches the 116 Farenheit mark (46⁰ C) of temperature on using it for playing video games for just half-and-hour. The previous iPad temperature would increase up to 39.5⁰ C.

Many of the customers are experiencing discomfort on holding it in their hands or lap due to generation of excess heat, albeit the Apple claims that the device operates well within the temperature limits. However, Paul Reynolds (Consumer Reports’ electronics editor) said that the device may cause discomfort but is safe to handle.

“This is not an unsafe device because of these temperatures,” Mr. Reynolds said to the media on Wednesday. “At most, you may have some discomfort. Depending on where you’re holding it, you may need to adjust your hands, but this is not going to be a safety hazard.”

In addition to this, it is to be noticed that even the iPad 2 users complained of similar kind of problem after the launch of the device last year. However, the issue was later resolved by the Apple Inc. with a software update. So, we may expect the Apple to make some quick moves to fix the heating issue along with the fault in Wi-Fi.

Apple has been a great reliable brand and issues like this are least expected from it. Considering this, we can expect the company to come up with some measures for the problem. However, Apple believes that the cause of the generation of extra heat is due to the hard efforts of device’s quad-core processor to power and operate high resolution display screen. So, the company now is considering factors to immediately come up with answers or measures to solve the heat issue. Well, the users of the Apple need not be worried about the issue as it isn’t unsafe, but just uncomfortable to handle.
